Donella is a proud descendent of the Kamilaroi Nation. Her grandparents and their mob came from Eurabra campsite, North Western New South Wales, long before the government relocated them to Bogabilla Aboriginal Mission which was later named Toomelah Mission. In 2022 Donella moved to the Northern Rivers of NSW., she has very fond memories of growing up on the mission and is forever grateful to elders past and present for they were the community that taught her to love, respect, share and always stay strong in her culture.
